Today we’re reminiscing about Michael & Kat’s beautiful dessert bar! These lovebirds got married in August at the Lageret in Stoughton, Wisconsin.
First lets just talk about the cutting cake. M + K kept it simple & classy by choosing a 2-tier red velvet cake with cream cheese icing. We decorated it in what Di calls a “ribbon and dot” style. Elegant swirls round the cake, accented by large dots of icing around the base of each tier. Flora by Jamae tucked in these beautiful blooms and eucalyptus greens. We topped it all of with a glittery topper that read “Let the Adventure Begin.” Perfect choice for this travel loving, adventure seeking couple.
I’ve got a feeling these two have a bit of a sweet tooth. They chose some seriously awesome desserts for their guests including 5 different flavors of layered cakes. They mixed in some classics alongside lavender, champagne, lemon raspberry cakes. Each cake was decorated pretty simply, because you’ll see in just a moment how beautiful the display looked when all the cakes & cupcakes were displayed at this gorgeous venue!
In addition to layered cakes, M + K selected 9 different flavors of cupcakes. Campfire, Grasshopper, Chocolate Euphoria and Summer’s Last Stand are some of the flavors pictured here. Now I’m beginning to think M+K might not have a sweet tooth, they might just be indecisive like me! Regardless, everything looked BEAUTIFUL when styled by Dominique of Wood Violet Events and photographed by Santiago Murillo Photography. Of course everything looks great against the rustic background at The Lageret (a tobacco warehouse turned event venue here in Stoughton, WI).
Thanks to Michael + Kat for letting To Di For be a part of their wedding day. Also thanks to all of the talented vendors listed below for pulling it all together!
